CSI Case File No. 195

Hello everyone

Wow, time really flies when you have fun. So yes, I have been a bit quiet of late but I've been very busy behind the scenes and I promise to make up for it in April so please stay tuned for more details in a week or so.

So today, I'd like to share my take on Case File 195 on the Colour Stories Inspiration (CSI)'s Blog. I love doing CSI challenges because they guide your thinking and challenge you to go a little out of your comfort zone.

I'm sure you have had days where you craved being creative, but once you sit down you have no idea which supplies to use, which colours or what photos you want to use. (I know, I certainly have had many of those days  before I discovered the world of online blogs and CSI.) So no more indecisiveness, just follow the prompts and create your layout to suit. There are so many ways to interpret them, just check out the work of my fellow design team members and you will see what I mean. So just give it a go and I'm sure you will love them too.

My take on the challenge

The Case file

How to play along:

Tip: Here is how I used it:

I used all colours and used the sage (lightest green) as my background.
Clues or Evidence elements: tiny brads, twine, flowers and a butterfly (animal).
Journaling: "yeah" this reminded me of our fabulous honeymoon in Penang, 2004.

Well I hope you all enjoyed this case file and really hope to see your take on the challenge in the online gallery. Visit us at http://csicolorstoriesinspiration.ning.com/ to play along and upload your layout to the gallary for a chance to win a fabulous prize.

Till next time, have fun.

Kraft Plus - March Challenge

Hello everyone

Wow, it's a brand new month and there are some awesome new challenges to join in this March. First up, I'd like to share my take on our Kraft plus challenge.

This month Em Starface created a stunning sketch for you to play along with, but as always there's a little twist,  you have to use hounds-tooth pattern somewhere in your layout.

Here's the sketch:

Also check out the blog as you will be amazed how many variations our team came up with, using only one sketch.http://kraftpluschallenges.blogspot.com.au/2016/02/march-challenge-hint-of-hound.html

My take on this challenge was a little bit different, as I chose to do a journal page rather than a scrapbook page. So remember, you can interpret this any way you like, and if you are a card maker, you are more than welcome to share a card based on the sketch and hounds tooth criteria, so don't be shy and join in this month.

I really hope this inspired you to join in this month and I am looking forward to see what you come up with.

Cheers,

Anguree

Hello my friends

I hope you are having  a fabulous weekend and a very special Valentines day as well.

I used not to enjoy  Valentines day at all. In fact I almost dread it in my single days. Yet it has become one of those very special days in my life. Yes, I am one of those fortune enough to celebrate  my wedding anniversary on this day and this is our 12th. Wow how time flies.

We have a special Valentines reveal at Off the Rails Scrapbook in so please stop by to check out the fabulous designed projects of my fellow  design team members.http://offtherailsscrapbooking.blogspot.com.au/2016/02/valentines-day-celebrating-with-dt.html?m=1.

Here is my take on our Valentines day reveal.

I created this card using the same method I used to create this month's  tags by layering a bunch of strips onto the surface of the background paper, but then covered it in gesso and thick white crackle paste, which I altered with ink sprays. I then added some stamping, grip tape and gauze, micro beads and glass glitter for texture.

Hope you enjoyed it.

Product list: watercolour paper - Kaszazz,  Ink Spray -Tattered Angeles  and Lindy's Stamp Gang, Stamps - Darkroom Door and Prima, Crackle paste - Finnebar Prima, flowers, gauze, stamps, glass glitter, micro beads.
