Kraft Plus Challenge October

Hello my dear friends

It is the 1st of October and we have an awesome new challenge for you to play along with at Kraft Plus Challenges.

This month our challenge is I can see clearly now. We need you to use Kraft Plus something that you can see through.
Hmmm you say... well maybe think transparencies, glass, some stickers... or what else could you use?

This was my take on the challenge:

I stamped some roses on Acrylic Sheets with StazOn and carefully fussy cut them.  I also used these awesome transparent stickers by 13@rts and put them on Kraft paper before cutting them to size and fussy cutting the butterfly.

Scrap Matrix has a wide range of these so make sure you visit and see what else Vicki has in store. You can also buy the dried Ecru  root by 13@rts which I used in my flower clusters  in various colours including black, plain, pink and blue.

To find more details on how to play along and gain more inspiration from the other design team members go and visit our blog at:

Thank you for stopping by today. Till next time, have fun creating.

More than Words October 2017

Hello dear friends

It is the 1st of October and we are well and truly heading towards the end of the year.

The 1st of the month is however packed with amazing challenges you could play along with so let's get right into it.

This month at More than Words we would like you to use the word Delicate to inspire your project. You have to describe how this word inspired you to create your project.

For the creative challenge we would like you to use fabric. Silk, lace tulle or maybe even a couple more grungy fabrics like denim, burlap or leather.

Here is my take on this challenge:

The moodboard immediately led me towards a wedding and love theme and this wedding picture of my husband and I,  by our photographer, Jan Theron. I was just perfect for the challenge.

For the word inspiration I found this poem by Ben Littlechild, describing the delicasy of love.

Love is like a delicate flower.
But no water is needed for its existence.
Only gentle words to feed its roots,
and passion to help it grow.
Trust to help it stand against the breeze
Kindness to carry its pollen far.

And as this flower grows,
so does the wonder of life
never alone will one soul be,
as long as the flower blooms
No frost to shatter its fragility.

by Ben Littlechild

For the creative challenge i used lace and tulle in my flower clusters. The flowers were all handshaped using Sospeso Transparencies, a foam square and wooden tools. If you would like to try this yourself please visit Scrapify and AUZZ Trinklets N Krafts to order yours.

For more inspiration and details on how to play along, visit the blog page and see how the other dt members interpreted this challenge.

I hope you enjoyed this couple of minutes with me and hope you would visit me again. Till then take care and have fun creating.
