Scrap Around The World – October 2015

Hello dear friends

Today, I'm sharing my take on this month's  Scrap Around The World challenge. Wow, Heather  McMahon  has created  a stunner of a mood board. It is  so bright and cheerful.

Here is the link so go and check it out:http://scraparoundtheworld.blogspot.co.za/2015/10/october-2015-challenge-30-by-heather.html

So again  I found  myself  creating a journal page. As I may have said before I love the freedom of expression  it allows me. It really allows me to let my hair down and relax.   It is a case of "whatever  goes", no rules and no restrictions.

Here is my take on it:

This month's theme is also to be thankful and I guess, it is something we sometimes miss in the rat race of everyday life.  Being thankful for the little things is key to being happy. Lately I have  really become more aware of how much we have in life. We have so much but we do not always see it and other times we may even  take it  for granted. So many  times  we wish our lives away, literally. We wish it would be Christmas, we wish it would be weekend again, we wish  for that next holiday etc...  – me inclusive. The reality is that these pleasure times we so often seek makes out a very small proportion of our lives, because very few of us can afford to be on holiday everyday. Do you agree? So my intend is to try and find the beauty and pleasure in every day. I want to actively seek for things to be thankful for every day such as the filter coffee  in the morning,  the birds chirping, my Labrador 's happy face and cuddles, my hubby and every bit of love and friendship I receive. It is normally  only when things are taken from  us that we realise the small things were huge in themselves.  The ability to work,  to walk, to see, to smell, to hear and to taste.  All of these "normal" things are blessings which were given to us freely, yet these abilities are the very things that allow us to enjoy the best of each day.

So  with that,  I' ll leave you  to ponder a bit till next time.  Be happy, find joy in your everyday life and enjoy  creating  something beautiful.

This Scrap Around The World Challenge  is open  till the end of the  month  so go and play  along.
