I hope you had an awesome weekend. I certainly did. A bit of catchup on the everyday chores, family time and last but not least some time in my scrap room. Mmm will need to work on creating floor space again, but hey I had tons of fun.
So today I'd like to share my entry for this month's Scrap Around the World Challenge. I fell in love with the mood board as soon as it was published. I just knew what I wanted to create and a journal page was the pefect solution. Mmm, I'll admit for a newbie at art journaling I think I might be hooked... I just love how I can create and experiment with the scraps of paper in my stash, not fussing too much about what I am doing. Just having fun without a care. It really provides a kind of freedom and more, it releases so much energy and emotion. It is truly therapeutic. (So if you are still having your doubts about this newish trend, give it a go. Seriously, I was sceptic. Yes, I was concerned about "wasting products". WRONG!!! It's actually upcycling and finding a new purpose for those bits that would normally end up in the bin)
So here is the link to the moodboard:http://scraparoundtheworld.blogspot.com.au/2015/09/september-2015-challenge-29-by-lydie.html.
Do hop over and check out the amazing works by their design team and don't forget to have a look at what the designers from 13@rts created with this month's inspiration. All these designers have done a smashing job and every piece is a work of art in itself.
My take on the moodboard:
